Frequently asked questions
Where can I play padel near me?
Tap โPadel near meโ to see the closest venues with their distance and whether they are open right now, or search your town. We list 15,000+ padel clubs and courts in 70+ countries, each with opening hours, directions and a booking link where the club has one.
Is padel the same as padel tennis?
Yes. Padel tennis is simply another name for padel, used a lot in the UK, Ireland and Germany. It is played in doubles on an enclosed court of about 20 by 10 metres, with glass walls you can play the ball off, solid rackets without strings and the same scoring as tennis.
What is the difference between padel and paddle tennis?
They are different sports. Paddle tennis and platform tennis are played without the glass walls that make padel special, and the courts and rules differ. If you are looking for courts with glass walls and a net in the middle, you are looking for padel.
How do I book a padel court?
Most clubs take bookings online, through apps such as Playtomic or Padel Mates, or on their own website. Every club page shows the booking button when the club has one; otherwise use the phone number or website listed there.
Can I play padel late at night or early in the morning?
Yes, in many places. Club pages show today's and tomorrow's hours in the club's own time zone, and each country has a page with venues that are open 24 hours or open at five in the morning or earlier.
Do I need my own racket?
No. Many clubs rent out rackets and sell balls at the desk, which is handy when you are travelling. If you want to be sure, check the club's website or call ahead.
